Helloooo! I'm Coose and I have a '72 XS2 bitsa that was a cafe racer when I bought it last year: -
And now here in action as a hillclimber: -
It presently has a bit of a dodgy gearbox, so if anyone has a spare can you let me know? I have a complete spare motor but I don't really want to split it....
I also race this: -
But it's now in many bits after a bit of a get-off earlier this year....

Nice set of bikes. I especially like the road racer fitted out in the Yamaha factory kit. Is it a TZ and what is the displacement?

Cheers! It's a '94 TZ250 ex-Padgetts bike. They are the UK importer of Yamaha Racing bikes. In the past it came second in the Manx TT Junior in '96 with Barry Wood on board. I have a video of the race and it features in it lots!

Since Tony Hall died Halco have ceased trading. There are rumours that someone will carry it on, but I think it's doubtful.
It's a shame as there is still a demand for XS bits over here....

Coose, I've just noted your posts after joining this forum tonight. I am based in Essex and have several XS engines in bits. I may have the gearbox parts you need? For info, since Tony Hall died Halco have shut down completely and will not re-open for business. A real shame as he was a great help whenever I had troubles with my rebuild.
Regards,
Russ

Hi Russ,
I'm after 1st and 4th driven gears (i.e. on the output shaft) as the dogs are ummmm.... not too healthy on mine! Could you let me know if you have these, and if so what you would want for them including P7P? Feel free to send me a PM....
Cheers,
Coose

Peke,
When Halco's of the parts were sold off. One of the guys who is a member of the VJMC lived local to the business and bought up alot of the more desirable bits which are being sold off slowly on Ebay. I think Halco may have gone into recievership but not sure.

Cheers everyone!
As I said, the cafe racer is no longer - it's now a flat tracker/hill climber (UK)....
Plus, it now has a new (old) and working first gear!

xsgirl - thanks for that. I might do that in the not-too-distant future as I would like to build my spare motor into a rip-snorting beast!
It won't be 'til next year as I still have the TZ250 to rebuild and funds are tight.....

Here's a more recent pic of Stanley: -
Notice it now has ground clearance, XS750 forks and yokes and a TZ350 front wheel! I also have a TZ350 rear wheel to fit, once I get around to it.....
