Finally done.. I went with Gold anodized rims and a white pin stripe on the seat and Kenda dual sport tires.
Thanks to mikes XS and ReproductionDecals.com.

Nice Job! I'm working on a 75 B myself at present. The seat and rims look nice. I've got a bunch of extra stuff for the B if you need anything......front end....trees, forks, fender etc. PM if you need something.
Best, Blue

I was a low miles bike that wasn't TOO.. bad. It was done in 30 days for the first stage(frame strip and paint up). Then i ran out of funds to finish the painting, anodizing the rims and painting of the side covers. So i had to wait to this week.

Looks great! Any bigger pictures? How much to get the rims stripped/cleaned/anodized and re-laced?

Very tasty! Just what I like to see in this OE forum, a bit of extra detail (seat/rims) on a nice bike. Wondering what length your shocks are... I like that long legged rear view!

I agree--really very nice! I especially like the white piping on the seat. I might try that when the seat on the '77 needs to be refinished.

Cool bike!

I do all my own wheel work and had a local anodizing shop do the rims.It was about 120.00 for both rims. At first i tried to just polish them out but there were a few bad spots that i couldn't get out. I'll make some larger picture as soon as the sun comes back out.

The shocks were from Mikes. They are just a little longer (.75"?) I think that it also has a somewhat low profile tire makes it look like that too. Once it's on the ground it looks normal. I wanted the longer ones for more the reason of riding two up.

Scalejockey,

Is it my middle-aged eyes, or are you not running any rear turn-signals? I prefer the bike without the signals, and did that for years, but now have both front and rear on my XS, and I was just wondering. Perhaps a temporary situation?

Either way, it's a very nice bike!

wood-z you should get up a picture of your seat with the red piping to let Barb see that look.

Wow! I like it! The seat on my '77 is quickly wearing out--it's the second one, and with 60,000 miles, it is showing it's age. When I recover it, I think I want either white or maybe red piping.....that's really neat! (Reminds me of some of the early Triumph twins...)

Thanks, Guys!

Nice cover! Did you do that yourself? I remember someone here was doing one.. I was thinking of the stiched top patern like my original but the seat cover guy talked me out of it. It would of cost too much (for me, an extra100)to make sure it was water proof and just the overall time involved.

Thnx, no, I found an upholstery shop here in K.C. Used red thread & piping to accent the candy apple tank... the slab of seat gel( like in yo shoes but thicker) I think was $50.00, I'll see if I can dig up the name of the place. Was flush at the time and used leather, maybe $20.00 more than vinyl, we'll see how it holds up.She does live in a garage, and has been treated...Total $$ was about $200.00 + a significant amt. of Wood-z's BBQ...I did have to cut a new base for the backrest, it was rotten, and had to do some funny customizing on the rack- it covered up my seat keyhole!I would have just gone w/ a straight luggage rack, but my wife felt like she was gonna fall off w/out a backrest.I'm just glad she likes to ride. The seat gel pad I got from Blue Diamond-http://www.davidscottco.com/motorcycle-gel-seats-pads-inserts.asp
