i ordered from mikes 2 bushings 05-0032. also the needle bearings
05-0034, this was a upgade it said for 05-0033. now my advance rod is binding up? anybody had this problem with this set up?

yeah that's the bad thing about needle bearings it's real easy to get them cocked slightly on installation then they act like a sprage clutch, want to turn one direction and locking up going the other way, pull the rod out and get some grease into them then spin the rod both directions a few times before completing re-assembly

i greaced everything good still binding. so i measured the run out on the advance rod. seems to be slightly tweeked? has any one ran into this or know what the acceptable amount of run out for the advance rod is. i'm pry gonna give it some love taps and see what happens.

well it was slightly tweeked? i tapped it back to being close and it was smooth as silk then. now my question is now how did it get that way ? theres realy no load on it is there? Confused

no no load but those needle bearings run closer tolerances than bushings damn old thing was happily thrashing away in there and you went and changed it lol

yea those tolerances are realy tight ! i bet if u realy had to u could file a thousand or two off the rod and it would help. i would suggest to any one that the needle bearings are very nice but be prepared to do some finessing to get the advanve rod to work right. Very Happy
