Ha
Had a couple of Drinks & had a thought
Why not make a feature of the generator cover & expose half the Stator & rotor you Could even paint them I guess to dress them up

A simple pattern in pics
Any other patters or ideas

I would use plexiglass if I were you, 'cuz moisture & sand are not cool in that area.

I like your idea; perhaps paint the rotor bright red. I have a partially exposed rotor, just a teaser, to help cool the alternator (xsjohn idea)

Nice idea.

I know similar from the old DUCATI 750SS and 900SS where they put customized windows to the cylinder heads:

Also some guys made windows into the valve covers of the V2 Moto Guzzis. I´ll try to find a pic on the www for you

That's cool.....something for people to look at that's different......windows on the valve covers...and alternator.....and maybe one on the clutch side.....Hummmm...may have started something there ...wally and harold....

Found it! My friend Karl made it on his Le Mans Guzzi: Valve covers with windows - PLUS internal LED-lights, so you can watch the valves in action even at night ....

Had the cover open like that for the last 2 driving seasons, with no problems. Brushes and slip rings all working great. It reduces the temperature inside the alternator, and that's good for rotor and stator longevity.

one thing about moding the cover, if you don't like it, it's easy to change back.
