Early foot peg rubbers on late model mounts?

81 Special, I want to run the round early footpeg rubbers. Obviously, I don't have both sets of footpeg brackets in front of me. They do however look almost identical as far as the opening in the footpeg rubber itself. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

i think where the pegs bolt to the frame is the same, just get the whole early pegs and put them on.
