Has anybody had experience with both types of fork braces (ie. tubular & machined)? I think the machined look better, but do they work better for the added expense?

I've never ran anything but the machined style on my bikes, XS and HD's, But I too like the look of the machined better and they work. Worth the extra bucks for me.

The welded up tube type was the 1st I remember ever seeing. Works fine. Sometimes heavier than alum billet depending on design. Both do the job.
