I picked up one of the new Pamco electronic ignitions and installed according to his instructions. I had to buy a new coil from mikes xs. It was completed in about an hour! and it runs perfect! .
I could not fit the coil under my gas tank so I mounted it right in front of the battery on the frame down tube. My spark plug wires come up over my cars and to the plugs. I am so happy with it. The mounting hardware he recommends is to bulky looking I found a better mounting method. I used a 1-1/4 diameter conduit hanger, it looks clean.

Gmaan; Yeah, the Pamco ignition and a new coil = hot spark. Maybe you could post a picture of the coil mounting.
I just bought a Pamco ignition, and will be using my existing coil which is an Accel supercoil. I figured it was time to move on from the "points" ignition and go high-tech . Probably won't be until next April/May, that I'll be able to see how it works on the road. These bikes don't run so well in the snow here in Canada................I guess in California, snow is not a problem.
