I need some help, Im rebuilding an 80 650 and I can't get spark. I have juice everywhere even on both coil wires (wires leading to the coil).If anyone has an idea of what the problem might be please leave a message. thanks. Luke

Check connections and connectors for corrosion. Are the plugs and leads in good condition? Are you getting full battery voltage at the TCI and at the coil? Is your battery and charging system giving you 13.5 volts at idle and 14.5 at 2500 RPM? The fuse panels are known to just fall apart..............check the panel and check all fuses are clean and good contact.
After that, measure the resistance from one spark lead to the other without resistance caps..............should be about 13K ohms. Measure the pick-up coils resistance.................black to orange=700 ohms, black to grey=700 ohms.
If all that is good, then need to consider that the TCI unit is the problem.
