Finally finished today- the only detail is the speedometer bracket- I'm just having trouble coming up with a clean/clever bracket that won't interfere with anything else. But the bike fired right up and drives great, only put a few miles on it so far but its pretty fun. WAY too loud, sounds like open TT pipes, I have a feeling the mufflers have no packing in them- must have slipped by quality control over in China. I want to take them apart and check that, otherwise its running and driving flawlessly.
Some of the details-
05 GSXR bar switches/throttle. 99 Katana clutch and brake lever assemblys.

Looks real good! Beautiful fit and finish. Just curious what ignition you use on it?

Thanks.
I used the pamcopete ignition with the stock advancer mechanism, a tiny battery for an emergency exit light, and an andrews dual output coil. It works great so far, starts 1 kick(no electric start) hot or cold.

noticed you've still got the lockwasher tab on the swingarm pivot did you go with mikes heavier swingarm bolt and drill out the washer to the 16 mm or is it still the 14mm end stock pivot bolt?

A rundown on the paints used would be great..
I'm specificly interested in the frame color, and the assorted black sheens and textures.

Stock bolt- I had 4 to choose from, used the best one.

I glass beaded or stripped all the parts before painting, etching primer was used then surfacer as required.
The engine case covers and valve covers are just Duplicolor black wrinkle finish with the YAMAHA on the clutch cover ground off and filled. took 3 tries to get it perfect-filler and aluminum absorb heat at different rates and the word YAMAHA kept showing up when the finish would wrinkle.
The cases, alternator cover, oil filter cover, rims, and hubs are base/clear ford silver code 1Q.
Cylinders are duplicolor Cast Coat Iron engine enamel with clear, head and misc engine bits are duplicolor Cast Coat Aluminum with clear engine enamel.
The bodywork white/yellow/and black are base/clear with 86 Corvette yellow, some kinda white(I don't remember), and chrysler black code 015.
The gloss black stuff is acrylic urethane.(triple clamps, brake rotor, brake plate)
The frame is acrylic urethane Platinum Silver Metallic 92 Dodge HD3
The semigloss black bits(chain guard, ignition switch bracket) are semi-gloss black lacquer duplicolor spray bomb.
For some reason the digital pictures make the silver bits look like semigloss, they are all high gloss finishes.
Almost all the fasteners on the entire bike are new or replated.
otor is 707cc (Wiseco pistons)

Fork brace was a NOS aftermarket unit for an old 70's kawasaki ditbike- just had to redrill the holes on it and make some 3/8" spacers.

Yes, the devil is in the details - very nice. How was fitting up that Ascot exhaust. I hear they can be a bear.

Ascot exhaust was not hard to install- takes about an hour- just have to follow the instructions in the proper order. About halfway through the job it looks like NO WAY will this fit, but it does. It's certainly no vance and hines quality but the price is low so what the heck.

Well, if you want my opinion- it sounds cheap. One of them was missing the fiberglass packing from day one. I repacked it and now both pipes sound the same, but it's still very loud and cheap sounding. instead of thump thump it's pop pop. Sounds like most of the harleys around here- set of drag pipes so they are not only slow they're loud too.
