I replaced all of My Friction plates with New ones From Mikes. I went to Mikes High Performance Springs, ALL 6 not 3 and 3.
I scuffed up the steel plates with sandpaper.
I replaced the Needle Bearing with a NEW one from Mikes.

I went out and Rode it Today, With the EXACT same PROBLEM I had Before I changed these things.

It runs GREAT, BUT when you get on it HARD it SLIPS and Revs up but DOESNT go anywhere.

I AM REALLY FRUSTRATED.

Thanks in Advance

Which way Do you have to Install the Steels, Round Edge In OR Out.

How is the clutch cable? Also, is the clutch throw adjusted properly? Mine is giving me issues at the moment too. I have heard that this can also be caused by worn dogs in the transmission.

Did you soak your new plates in oil overnight before install?
If its worn dogs it will only happen in certain gears.........?
Is cable correctly adjusted, correct free play?

I don't know if it makes any difference or not but I always install the steel plates with the rounded edge facing out. I figure it will release better with less chance of the plates hanging up in the slots that way. As I said, it may make no difference at all but that's just the way I like to assemble them.

Did you make note of the alignment mark on the inner basket and the corresponding hole in the pressure plate and install them correctly?
