Well, I finally started to put my bike back together. I put a new battery in the bike, threw the carbs on and went to fire it up. Fired right up then died right away. I feel like fuel isnt getting from the carbs to the motor. Is there any way I can check this? I pulled the bowl drain screws and the bowls were full.... pissed right out. I pulled the spark plugs and they dont stink like gas. Im guessing i have a clog somewhere or maybe I put somthing in wrong? is a 1980. Any help would be awesome....

Tom

These are pretty easy to check. Pull the mixture screw out and it's a straight shot down to the idle mixture hole. Don't lose the washer!!
If you can see daylight through the little hole then it's not clogged.
Next remove float bowl and pilot jet. Prop butterfly open. Stick the little plastic straw on your carb cleaner can down into the hole as tight as possible and spray. Look for fluid from the 3 holes. Do I need to add that safety glasses are a good idea with pressurized fluids?
