I plan to get Tkat fork braces myself. You can see them here.

Isn't the fender (at least of the later models) supposed to have a built-in fork brace? I know it sure looks heavy enought to be one. I had an XJ650R Seca, and the fender of that had a brace built into it. Looks to be about the same thickness as the later XS fenders.

Yes, that is true but the bracing isn't up to the point of a real fork brace. Remove the fender from almost any old bike and the skinny forks get much more noodle like.

That's a solid looking fork brace. They seem to have their year model coverage screwed up a bit. The one they show for the '76 only should fit your '75. Yes? They're both 34mm tube diameter.
Best,

they should but i have a choice between the stock forks,a set off an 82 Seca 650 turbo, a later model 35mm set or a 79 xs1100 set. ilike the looks of the brace ,being black looks better than chrome. i'm sorta antichrome. i'm leaning toward the later 35mm forks and using a harley wide glide tree, then getting a 16 rim laced on to the front hub so i can get a look like the old bikes. like in the movie "The Wild Ones" the bikes in that movie are what an old school bobber should look like.

I have seen these fork braces and also the one Mikes XS sells. The fork brace I have seen and liked the best is the one I can't find. The brace I like is a solid looking piece that sorta raps around the front tire. An example can be seen by going to google and typing in "yamaha choppers and cafe racers". It is seen on the silver cafe bike there by softaildoc or Chops by Doc. By the way I love that silver cafe bike he built that has had the battery located leaving an open space there where it once resided. Anyone know where you can get a brace like that other then making one?
