Hay, I just got a really good deal on a set of 34mm round slides as well, and need the same jetting info. My carbs were off a snowmobile, so I'll probably have to change everything.
ike's XS, and 650 central both carry holders for these carbs.

I just found some info from members on an Australian forum. They do mention that air spins counter clockwise in the carb throats down there. Wink

VM34:
ains: 180 to 190 is most probable.
Pilots: 20 to 25.
Needle jets: P5 or P6 both work well.
Needles: 6F9; start tuning in the middle notch.
Slides: the generic 2.5 works fine.
Air jets: remove.

Interesting to see my response to a 650 list serve inquiry go all the way to Oz and back! A little digging would have turned up the same baseline here. Guys, be aware that there are strong interactions between pilot size and needle position in the VM's; a 1-step move of the clip will often (usually) force a compensating jet change.

Ponyjr, contact Michael Morse at 650 Central for carb holders.
