I am moving soon and I have a 78 xs 650 Special parts bike to give away. I started selling a few parts off it so missing are the side covers, chain guard and some other dodads. No title, mag wheels with 16" rear. gas tank banged up, seat torn to shreds, it did run at one time but been sitting couple years now. complete engine, wiring , frame etc.. is in tact. Please come and get it if you need it. Adams, Massachusets zip 01220. I will check my PM box periodically.

swervin
I have cylinder heads in stock complete with cam cover part# 4m4-11101=00=00 . Theres 3 ways of doing this if you buy one as is as came off the bike its $150.00. If I go through the head and check valve guides, reseat valves, install new seals, Its 250.00. If I clean up the ports ( Just smooth out the rough casting) 350 . Just for your information the head assembly alone listed for $940.36 in 2001 from yamaha Most of my parts I charge 50% of the 2001 retail. So at that rate a bare casting head was 940, with this you get the whole head complete with valves, springs, guides, rockers, etc as came off the bike for 150.00 plus s&h.

Whats the matter with your head? I have all the valve train parts in stock to rebuild a head short valve seals. could be cheaper to rebuild your head unless you have broken it somehow.
