A holy man once told me "if it doesn't hurt, it's not a sacrifice". So to achieve my two-wheel goals, I lay before you a sacrifice my 1975 XS project bike.
This is a barn bike I bought on the cheap. The previous owner (or two) tried to convert to a disc brake system. I piddled around with it, finally deciding other things need to be done with the time and space.
Rebuilt forks- 35mm, progressive springs, new seals, Minton mods, dust caps soft and pliable, 15w fork oil, tapered head bearings.
Unknown motor condition- never ran that I know of, kicks over easy, stiff clutch may be bad worm gear?
Carbs- bowls are a little cruddy-looking inside (had water when I disassembled), parts move nicely.
Tank shows rust inside, will need new petcocks. Seat has one small tear. Instruments show 3k miles, most likely came with the new front end off a Heritage. I have a key! No papers; serial number 447-117881. There are other parts not shown, not quite enough to get it running but close!
If you want the whole bike, come and get it in Knoxville TN. I will part it out if no commitments by the end of the month.

Any chance that the other party backed out? I happen to live in Knoxville and have an xs that i could use parts for.
