Just out of curiosity, has anybody here taken the Penn Foster Motorcycle Repair Technician Course? How good can it be for only $600?

cafe shop with your experiance do you think you need it? I dont know what other models you work on but I dobt that course is even going to touch base on anything older then 10 years. just as none the others do. heck a buddy of mine just came back from ama and said they never touched base on shovelheads or pans. So I dont know what your looking to gain but if its xs trainning I doubt that course will cover anything you need,

Well, as far as how things go together and work, I'm okay there. And I think I have a handle on making the assembly look good. But I would like to know a bit more about carbs & electrical systems though. Most wiring diagrams make no sense to me when I compare them to an actual harness. And I took electronics in high school.

Back to the basics, again modern motorcycle tecnology and fuel systems are whats being taught in the schools now . They are pushing fuel injevtion at these schools now a days. Most people going to schools are in search of getting shop jobs and working on modern motorcycles when they complete there training. Do you have a mikuni tunners manual? You can get one from sudco international . check them out they are mikunis direct link with the usa. Get there tunning calculator while your at it. Total cost I think was under twenty bucks. I beleive that set up would money better spent then the schools for what your doing. As for wireing thats pretty basic also, IT TAKES PATIANCE . I prfer to wire when ther is no one else around to brake my concerntration. But if anything breaks my concerntration I just walk away and come back later. But Ive seen some of your forums and work and you can do this. Id save my money for another outstanding project
