650 Rider went offline for about a month at the beginning of 2010. In order to save the technical information that was here, XS650.com acquired the site and brought it back online as a read-only archive. If you were a member of 650 Rider, you will need to re-register at XS650.com

So I purchased my 1980 xs650 special in june and it had some mods to it that I'm not sure whether to remove since it is now a bobber project. These include:

Oil cooler - probably good to have but I don't really like the look.

Air gauge for front forks - again it is attached to the handle bars and I don't really like the look.

Any advice would be appreciated. Should I keep these or add them to the junk pile.

I should have my hard tail in about a week, Yipee

If it was me I'd try to keep the oil cooler, maybe you can relocate it for cosmetics. I'd lose the air guage.
