maybe somebody can help me with this issue.
I cannot seem to get the shaft out/off for the resettable odometer in order to clean and lube my speedo. I though it might just pull off but no it doesn't. I am not generally clueless with this stuff but....
I even took the screw out that you can see from the side hoping that might work and allow me wiggle it aroud and get the bezel off but that didn't work either.
Its a 73 650 BTW

Not so sure about the 73 speedo, but my speedo on my 77 has (I THINK) 4 screws around the outside edge, on the bottom. You will need to take the two bolts off the bottom and take the whole unit off the bike in order to reach the two on the inside.
