Can anyone tell me what to torque my head bolts to?

Yep. On the top of the head cover you'll find 12 fittings. The four smaller ones above the exhaust and intake ports take 14 footpounds. The 8 big ones take 25 footpounds. The 3 smallest fittings (2 near the sparkplugs and near the breather port) take 7 footpounds. Go opposite-to-opposite, from the inside to the outside, in small increments. These figures are the ones given prior to 1982. Later specs were given as 25.3 to 27.5, 14.5 to 15.9, and 5.79 to 7.23 for the big, middle-sized and smallest fittings (like real-world torque wrenches can read to a hundredth of a pound!). I run 26, 15 and 7. One thing to note: if your head gasket has already started to seep, retorquing will seldom stop it. A new gasket is usually needed. Good luck!
