I am looking for one of those fake oil tanks with a battery box. Anyone have one they want to part with?

Where have you saw 1? I'd been thinking of trying to make just that kind of thing with some sheet aluminum. I'd be interested in seeing what others have done.

I e-mailed BWC about the fake oil tank about 5 or so times and not one reply. I had a hard tail done by him and I dont think I will ever deal with them due to the lack of communication and attention to detail. Your better off having some local fab shop make one up for you.

IF YOU USE THE OIL TANK FROM A MID 70'S HONDA THEY FIT VERY WELL INTO STOCK FRAME AND ARE LARGE ENOUGH TO HOLD ALL THE ELECTRONICS. I HAVE SEEN ONE BUT I DON'T HAVE A PICTURE SORRY

FROM A CB750 LIKE THE ONE IN THE PICTURE.
I THINK BWCHOPPERS MAKES ONE, YOU CAN SEARCH XS650 CHOPPERS OR METRIC CHOPPERS AND SEE WHO ELSE MIGHT HAVE ONE
I BELIEVE CB750 WERE MADE FROM 1970 TO 1978 WITH THE SAME OIL TANK ALL THE YEARS. FLAT SIDES AND GOOD SHAPE YOU WILL NEED TO CUT A HOLE IN THE TOP AND WELD OR RIVIT IN A BASE FOR THE BATTERY.
THE ONE I SAW THE GUY CUT THE TOP OUT TO FIT THE BATTERY AND THEN MADE A FLAP WITH A PIANO HINGE TO OPEN THE FRONT QUARTER OF THE TANK TO ALLOW FOR FITTING OF THE ELECTRONICS.

KEEP UP THE WORK NO MATTER HOW SLOW.
