I recently purchased an 81 XS650 that runs and rides, with a clean title with little rust. I plan on doing some modification to the bike, including inverted fork, and a single-sided swingarm with a rear monoshock. I was wondering if anyone knew what donor bikes might work best to find these items. I saw on www.xs650.org.au that someone used a kawasaki 1100 front end. What modifications would be needed to make it fit?

I would be leary of using the inverted forks.

They are VERY stiff up top, and frankly, our frames aren't designed for them in the neck area.
