I'm working on a 76 XS650 and installing a new Pamco system. The last owner may have replaced a few item and I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing here. In the directions it wants me to remove the condensor, Is this the condensor...
or is this it between the upper motor mount...
Last, can I remove all this wiring...
Thank you much in advance!

Here's what a new condenser looks like. There are two condensers in the same package.
Your bottom picture looks like the wires from the condenser poking out.

Ahh then it is located between the upper motor mount!
Can I get rid off all the old wiring going to the coils then?

builditbigger,
Yes. Use the two red/white wires that went to the coils. Connect one to the new coil. Connect the other to the red PAMCO wire.

Using my multimeter set to continuity I tested those wires...the old orange and gray ones going into the harness and I think they just loop in and back out. I just taped mine up.

Ok, the bike has not run since 91. I believe its because he had a bendex gear go bad. I put a new one on and a new Pamco ignition on with new plugs. The bike turns over and pops once in a while. The leads coming off of the coil, do they have an order to them or just pick a side?
