75% of the braking is in the front which means I would not want to ride that bike around here, too many Aholes in cars. But it is a clean bike.

I like it, very cool, especially what you did to the wheels. What size hole did you drill? And what handlebars are you using? Are they 1" size? Do you sell the handlebars?

Jesus dpm, you having your monthly bleed or what?
50 that look the same as that???????? I've seen a few hardtails around, not a whole heap that look like that......I'm no great fan of choppers either. But I'm quite prepared to give a man his dues......That is a well built motorcycle, it's no easy task to make something look right, and that bike looks right to me......
Yeah, it's not perfect, if I was to ride a chop, I'd want a few things changed.....But that's the thing with custom gear, to make it your own, you need to customise it yourself......
It's easy to say what you shouldn't use, another thing coming up with a viable alternative...........
Edited, due to the fact that when I re read it, perhaps I was also a little pre menstral

We live in a world where telling people the truth is looked down upon.political correctness has made us all liars and weak.Yamaman he actually set me a pm thanking me for saying what i said.If u don't find faults or keep ur opinions to yourself no one gets better at what they do. He's an artist and is his own harshest critic

Dpm,
I am not upset by your comment.I understand hardtails aren't everybodies cup o' tea.
You have a right think whatever you want.
I will say that no TC bros hardtail or nice looking stock xs was harmed building this bike.
It was built from the lost souls that find their way back to our shop..
We by no means believe this bike to be cutting edge, but it is fun to ride and was fun to build.
and for you reading my long winded post I will reward you with a non sportster tanked, very off the wall Xs we built with a 900cc Xs motor in it..

It looks easy chopping off all the unnecessary parts, ripping out the excess wiring and painting it a different colour and adding shiny bits, but isn't. It is the fastest way to turn a perfectly serviceable motorcycle into a pile of scrap.

I like the bike, simple and ridable. I don't like to spent thousands on a bobber/chopper bike. I want something I can do without alot of effort, I'm not mechanically incline, so the easier the better. I currently have a 81 XS650 that had been sitting in a garage for the last 9 years and got it running and sort of cafe-inated it. But I like the old skool look of a hardtail with mimimal components and the Bad Penny is what I like to build/copy. Of course with my own rattle can paint job. Keep the pics coming of your builds, I like what you guys have been doing. Of course my regular ride is a 09 HD Street Glide, but I find myself riding the XS650 more than my HD, go figure....

Bad Penny is for sale on eBay...
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotor...0406693679
...and judging by the current bid, w/ 5 days remaining, I suspect there's going to be several people sorry they didn't hit the Buy It Now when they had the chance!
