Has anyone removed, or relocated their kickstand? I keep scrapping mine. Just wanted to see what/how hard it is to use just the center stand.

Is the kickstand loose or hanging low? Is there any play?I don't know about relocating the kickstand but I can tell you my center stand is a pain in the butt to use. It almost takes two people get it on the stand. If your kickstand is hanging low, and you are sure it's not bent, then it is probably the spring. Mikes XS sells new springs. I bought one for mine, it was like four bucks. My kickstand was hanging somewhat low, and the new spring fixed it. Mine is a 75, I don't know what year yours is, and if it uses a different spring or not, but you should check the website. Nate

No, it is right up against the exhaust. I am used to sport bikes, and kinda ride my xs like it is one. I figure I need to start eliminating the parts that drag. My center stand is actually easy to use. I have been using it for the last week to see how hard it will be to live without the kickstand. So far, so good.

I didn't want to cut the mount off. I figured I could unbolt it, and save it if I ever sold the bike.
