Ok, this motor is about ready to go back together. I've got everything inside cleaned up, replaced the necessary parts, got all the new seals and gaskets ready to be installed, etc.

As I'm not going to be blasting this motor, but I do want it to look good, I had the idea to put some of the parts in the dishwasher. Does anybody have any experience or advice doing such a thing? It seems like it'd be easy enough to stick the cases in there.....just don't want to do any damage. What about the jugs or the head (with valves installed)?

Thanks for the input.

it works pretty well actually.

i don't think you'll damage anything, just make sure it's all well dried. i would maybe stick to the aluminum parts rather than steel, to avoid possible rust.

Don't forget to use jet dry. Wouldn't want any water spots on that pretty newly rebuilt motor!
