I am looking for a stock chain gaurd for a 70-73 xs, anybody got one they don't need ? Question

No they are different, the front mounting point is way off, so it has to be 70 - 73 as far as I have been able to find out. Thanks for looking. Very Happy

I think the early ones, at the front, had a pin that went into a rubber grommet.
The later ones the front bolted down to the swing arm.
If this is right, I think you could use a later one and drill and tap a hole in the swing arm to match the front mount on a later one.

Sounds about right. I have a newer 80 gaurd. If I don't come up with an original I will modify like you suggested, thanks.
