I'm looking for a good alternator rotor for my 82 heritage special. I just found out that we're going to have a baby so I don't have much cash. I do have plenty of parts I could trade as I have chopped my bike. I know this is a much sought after part, but if anyone has an extra it would be greatly appreciated.

God Bless.

shaydaddy,

Well, that's a pretty expensive part that's much in demand, as you say, so do you want to review how you determined that your's is fried?

pamcopete,

I spoke to you earlier this year about your ignition system when I was out of work and the resistors fried in my TCI Box. Since then I have replaced the resistors, set up your twenty dollar reg/rec. combo, and redid the wiring on the bike. I think the rotor was weak when I bought the bike and shorted out when those resistors fried. as the bike runs great now just won't charge.
