First just cut to length and bend as needed. After it’s bent mark out the holes for connecting whatever you are making the bracket for. Then for decoration I mark out equal measured dots to drill out and use a center punch for starting my first drill bit…

Now bracket is bent, all holes drilled, and time to make it look nice. I use an electric sander and depending on the condition of the aluminum go from course to fine sandpaper. Do not rush it or final product will reflect a job rushed…

After I’m all done I finish with some “wenol or mothers” for a final luster. That’s it! If you can’t buy it you’ll have to make it! And that is the case on a lot of these custom bikes, good luck.

I'm thinking I'm going to need some muffler brackets when I get my hands of some brand new sportster muffler take offs my neighbors dad has offered me.

I love that material. I used it to fab hangers for my shorties when the provided ones were too long. It's easy for someone with limited metal working skills like me to work and cleans up nicely.

well, if it's brackets and clamps you guys need, holler at me. I work for TrimFit Brackets amd we fab brackets and clamps out of 304 Stainless steel in either 12 or 14 gauge 7/8 inch wide material. Finishes include mill finish, brushed, and mirror polished. To top it off, our brackets are guaranteed for life against breakage. Holler at me in an IM here and I'll give ya more info.
Butch.
