Hello,
I just bought Mikes new megaphones and they came with an improved mounting system. I am unclear as to how it is supposed to be used there in my mind seems to be two different ways to use it which is correct?
This mounting system is also reffered to as the Gorran method named after one of our fellow xs'ers. It consists of a small flat bar that is thread tapped in three places and two bolts Part #07-0116

Thanks Dave

If you are using the stock, double walled headers, then you may want to use this adapter to connect to the inner pipe. Clamping an aftermarket muffler to the outer pipe is not satisfactory because the outer pipe has drain holes and it is not pressure proof welded to the head pipe.

Thanks for the quick reply.thats how I thought to use it, it was just that those bolts for the track are too long so they go throught the flat bar and jam up against the muffler body itself.....so I thjought that I was mounting the system incorrectly. Guess I will just use shorter bolts.
Thanks
