I have a 1975 ,that I needed to put headers on,, since the stock pipes were all rusted with holes.a bad choice, these are hooker headers, 2 into 1,
ok questiion,,IM tired or the noise.I want them like they once were from factory, who makes nice quiet pipes.

280, does the baffle come out? You could get some fiberglass muffler wrap from650 central, instead of byeing a whole new system that mite be as loud as what you got. Hooker header's used to be a top notch header system, at least on the car engine's I've run them on.

yes hookers are top stuff...my only bitch is the loud report.

I have hookers on my Z28,
I have the baffel in the exhaust. I'll have to take it apart again and check to see what I can do to get it a little less bold..

I like Hookers...

uh, that didn't come out right.

Sorry no experience with repacking, but I heard stainless steel pot-scrubbers are a good choice.
I have a set of Hookers on my other bike. If you decide to go for a set of Mike's, I might be interested in purchasing yours.
