For those of you who have, or who have seen, a repro seat from Mike's:

There are decorative chrome strips that are riveted along the lower edge of the seats. The fasteners appear to be odd little "T"-shaped bolts that are threaded and affixed with a little nut and washer; the "T" top appears to grab the chrome strip somehow.

One of mine on the leading edge has come loose and I'm wondering if there's a trick to getting the "T" to grab the trim so I can fix it. It looks like these may be fitted at the factory and then snipped on the nut side. Any tips?

Failing this, I may consider drillling a tiny hole through the leading edge of each moulding strip and replacing that hidden "rivet" with some sort of tiny screw that will be more secure. As it is the trim seems quite fragile.
