Any recommedations as to the best vintage looking tube type tire with decent grip and cornering? I'm doing a stock restoration and want the correct look with bit more modern handling. I like the Metzler Lasertecs that I have on an old BMW but not sure I want to spend $250 on tires for this bike.

Anyone have luck with the IRC or ChengShin vintage clones?

You can watch a chengshin wear out. Couldn't even get through one summer. Continental blitz lasted 3 1/2 years. 12000 or more on the back.

I ended up ordering 404's front and rear - not much more than the chen's and look much better quality....
