Any way to correct a slow reading speedometer ? Mines at least 10 mph slow on the hiway

first make sure the cable is properly lubed, graphite powder (dry-slide for locks is good) mixed in light oil, take the sending drive off and apart and grease it, after that the only thing is the size of the front wheel unless your speedo is bad, I have read that these bikes usually read about 5 mph slow

woodman,
Get a reversable drill and a short length of speedometer cable and put the cable in the drill chuck with the square end plugged into the speedo.
Put the drill in reverse and run the speedometer above normal MPH, like up to the max, but not passed that.
The speedometer has a dampener in it that gets a little sluggish if it isn't run up to high MPH every once in a while.
You could do the same thing by disconnecting the cable at the gear box and putting that end in the drill.
Same deal with the tach.

It has the OEM size tire on it and Ill try the drill trick, thanks.
