Well been at it again finaly picked up a rear HD brake should do the trick also got some parts of to powder coate witch I got back today, turned out great.

Well decided to try and cover my seat buy my self so went to the local thrift store bought a old leather jacket for $6.95 and took a shot at it turned out ok, might get it pro covered down the road will see.

Hay ranger693, I am 6'4"(and I fit perfict) and I will be running the motto cross bars on this build and save the apes for the next because they just looked to narow with the wider front end that I am useing.

Sweet job on the build, CR - it looks to me like this isn't your first build. You're very quick and sure of yourself along the way.

what kind of forks are you running??? I really am looking to do a wider tire on the front (100-130) thanks I love the way its coming together

Hay guys, this is my first build but not my last as I have 5 more xs650's in the shop. i just reserched the s@#t out of the build before I started and had my build plan down before I began, as for the front end it is off a 1989 GSXR 1100 with the lower legs turned and I am running a 50-21-120 witch is nice and wide on this bike.

How much was that rim. I wanna do a tire like that on my fatboy. I have 18" now and I think as 21 front would look much better....

I paid $440 for the front and rear (canadian) some big sale at a local shop paid like $700 for the ruber.

Well had some time to play so threw the engine into the frame put on the carbs,filters,covers,kick shaft,seat and tail light. Startind to come together need to get going on the tins need them now to continue.

Well took my first shot at painting with a gun rather than a spray can. Threw dowm color on the tank and bat box no runs,bubels or bugars but I will have a real good look at them on sunday and see how I really did.

thanks man, I wet sanded my paint with 1500 before I cleared made a big difrence, also five coats of clear helped to.
