i have the original seat with my '73 and it's in nice shape, no rips tears or such. but, it's super stiff and brittle feeling and i'm afraid a crack or rip may be in the near future if i don't do something soon. any tips on vinyl(?) conditioning?

No kidding!! I used Armor-All and thought I'd slide right off the back, and it didn't get better for a week! Sure looked nice, though.....

I don't know of anything for use on vinyl, but it would be good information...

jayel read these reviews you might(I doubt it) change your mind.
I use it to clean/soften my seat(s).
The time I really learned to appreciate it was when I accidentally
sprayed some diaphrams with starting fluid. They curled up like leather in calcium chloride. Tannery made them soft and flexible again.
