Can I run twin disc brakes using the stock master cylinder? I have a twin disc system from a '82 Seca that'll bolt on but the MC is pooched.

MaximumX,
You probably want to upgrade the MC for Dual front disc because the MC made for it is a larger bore piston than the stock single disc MC.
Just my 2c.

Yeah... That's kinda what I figured. On a positive note, while digging around in a box of old spares I discovered a working MC from a dual disc set-up. All is well.

on the older two piston caliper, a single disc used a 13 mm m/c. the dual used a 22mm m/c. on the newer single piston caliper, a 13 mm m/c will work. i have a 75 that had a two piston, single disc with a m/c marked 5/8, i put a 79 front end with single piston/dual disc setup. i am using the m/c from an 82 650 seca turbo. it is marked 5/8 too. the set up works great. if you have the older style two piston calipers, i would suggest getting a 22 mm m/c . you can try a smaller m/c but you might run out of lever travel before you get the brakes to work, not enough volume to fill two, two piston calipers
