I've gone thru my second slipper type cam chain tensioner. I was wondering, is the rolling idler type on the 73 TX650 engines superior (ie. doesn't wear out as fast) or not?
I guess the root of the question is did Yamaha change the tensioner because the slipper tensioner was a less expensive part and still fairly reliable, or did the roller idler not work as well and that's why they changed it?
Options?
Second part to the question, is the 6 hole bolt pattern the same?
