Here are a few shots of the forks I got from a guy at work. They have been in his basement for 30 years, and I haven't cleaned them or anything. After a quick measurement or two to approximate required rake and trail, I figure the front frame legs will have to be stretched in the neighborhood of 10"-12".

We'll see about the ride, but since it's going on a hardtailed frame it'll be hard (no pun intended) to tell which end is going to be worse on "ride quality". BTW, rough measurements indicate the final frame stretch will be about 9-10" up with a rake of about 35 degrees.

1970 is o.k. by me. I really like the "old school" look (not the stuff you see on tv called "old school", loaded with billet, dozens of l.e.d.'s lighting up the engine, and everything ordered from a catalog). I do believe in taking advantage of new technology, and will be running a rear disc brake (especially if I go with the minidrum front!).

Old school rocks!!!! 1970 again would be pretty cool too. Then again, I'd be 8 years old, but if I knew then what I know now!!! OMG!!!
