finally got it home yesterday...1975 xs650 electric paid 350 with clean title.last ran in 2001.

got it running...slight problem concerning a rag and a carb ..but all worked out....i can hear the valves ticking away is this common for these bikes?or do they need adjusting?

yes they make some noise, you should check them tho' .003 intakes and .005 exhaust with the timing mark at F good time to set the cam chain also

I would keep that thing stock, its beautiful

look for a cheep beater to tear apart and bobber out.

I want a clean stock 650 like this for long rides.

Mine looked almost that clean when I got it, but the truth is it wasnt. The gas tank was completely rusted out on the inside, the side covers were missing lots of hardware, things were slightly bent and tweaked here and there. I say if you want a bobber, start cuttin'.
