there is a snap ring that holds all that in there, you'll need a snap ring pliers that can get into that space as it is a tight fit you can get one from k&l i believe they are around $40 but you may be able to get by using picks

my manual shows that you remove the rubber boot , then the snap ring, it looks like you will have to remove the boot. even with the right tool it is a pretty tight fit. then everthing else slides out.

My Haines manual states nothing on how to remove it or the rubber boot.
The boot than just slides straight of then But it does not want to & I think I may stuff it if I try to hard?

the boot should kinda fold in half and come out of the groove it sets in. then the snap ring pliers have to be long and narrow to reach down to the snap ring. holding the m/c in a vice with a couple rags around it so not to damage it. then using a couple ice picks. or long nails with the ends ground to match the holes in the snap ring should get it. my manual is a clymer, it has most of the repairs for all years in the front, in the back it has specific repairs that apply the the later models. for the later models it doesn't say much about the front brakes in the later section. except for the styling differences. the masters all work, assemble, disassemble the same.

its common that the boot comes out hard and crumbles and the ring will be covered in nasty dried brake fluid and hard to see blow it out really good with air and be careful not to break the snap-ring

I tried to disassemble my master cylinder but ripped the hell out of the boot. Here is what it looks like within the cylinder, hopefully these images will shed some light on the matter.

if you slide a small flat screwdriver down the outside of the boot you can work it loose but most times it's so crudded in you will tear it getting it out
