Anyone know of any Forward Controls that will fit my 77 XS650D? I'm not really talented at fabrication or I would make my own but could possibly modify an existing kit to make it work.
Later,
Jeff

One day it will come true. One day I will have production set for sale, but all my cash is going to our new home so no money for the fab shop! DAM!

i've heard rumor that diversion (xj600n or xj900 or something) yamaha right hand switch gear is compatible.
the bike i saw did indeed have a different master cylinder and switches to standard which worked well according to the owner, with duel disks.
i actually came on the forums hoping that someone else would mention this so i could be sure which model it was.
to my belief as long as the master cylinder is large enough any switch gear with the right internal diameter to match your bars should do the trick.
if i ever find a suitable part (hopefully from a diversion) i'll let everyone know how it goes. it is most definately needed as mine is leaking hydraulic fluid!

Piston diameter in the master cylinder is very important-this is what will determine the amount of fluid moved during one squeeze of the lever. The amount (volume) of fluid moved is what determines the amount of movement of the caliper pistons. A smaller diameter m/c piston will result in less required pressure on the lever but will require the lever to move farther. If the lever runs out of travel before the brakes are fully applied, braking will not be sufficient. In other words, the lever will bottom out against the bars before the brakes are fully applied.
This isn't difficult, but it is something you need to consider....
