Greetings from the great white north,Alaska,great site.Just picked up two xs650 Yamahas and brought them back to Alaska to work on this winter,they both run well but want to chop both of them and will need 2 hardtail frames or hardtails welded on to my stock frames,anyone know of such a service?Looks like nice folks here and great information.Thanks Cheers! Wow alaska huh? not someplace Id wanna ride.. New York is cold enough (and yes I ride all winter.. well.. I did last year anyway.. dont think its gonna happen this year) hardtails arent my thing.. so sorry I cant help you out there.. not really a chopper guy.. then again.. Im young.. maybe I just dont understand Laughing anyway.. from one newb to another.. welcome to the forum

Thanks for the welcome,Adam,I've never been to New York either but my Dad lived in northern N.Y. state,said it was beautiful,especially in the fall!We don't even try to ride up here much past October because the temps are in the 20s then.I had one of my Yamaha 650s out and riding it the other day,not too bad in the low 60s but now it's only about 40 outside,no snow yet.We have about a 4 to 5 month riding season.No problem on the chopper thing,I'll find the info. I need here I'm sure,sooner or later. Cheers Paul

Very Happy Welcome. I've never been to Alaska but one of my bikes has. My XS650H was ridden up the AlCan Hwy by the previous owner and came to me with an Alaska plate. There's some pics in my photo album.
