Just what does the number 59 have to do with the whole cafe scene? I've read the Wikipedia entry and found nothing.
I see it on hats, t-shirts, stickers, bikes, helmets, etc....

The "59" club was an early bike club in London, England and a gathering place for the Rocker cafe bike scene. It is today, along with the Ace Cafe, a spiritual home for the cafe bike faithful.

Also the fiftynine club is still one of the largest bike clubs in the world. They focus mainly on the Rocker cafe scene but all motocycle fans are accepted. You can become a fiftynine club member to this day and dues are cheap. They have clubs all over the world, but for the original history of the club check out www.the59club.org.uk
