Hey riders, new member here. Just got a XS750 tank on ebay and it's missing the fuel tank cap. Should be here in a week or so.
Can I swap the locking cap from my 650 onto the new tank?

Depend which 650 tank youve got....the larger roadster tank has a wider cap than the SE & Custom tank.
The former should fit if it a post '75 model

It's from a '77. I see there are two shapes, the one I bought and the one that looks like a kidney bean.
I've seen a few more pics of the '77 tank and cap and it looks like the same part.
