Some pics of our bobber just completed, it was started by my late brother Bill who we lost to a sudden heart attack back in Jan. '06 at the early age of 41, he built the rigid frame himself but unfortunately thats as far as he got. My brother in law , my sister and myself completed his bike in his memory, he always was telling me how he was going to do the bike so it turned out the way he wanted it. XS650 1977 , 4 inch stretch rigid frame, handmade pegs from chain , highway pegs are twisted railroad spikes chromed, the original battery box holding battery and electricals tucked under the solo pring seat , the original side covers are reversed sides and the edges cut away to tuck in ( sweet idea- worked great) , original front fender cut down and shaped custom, rear fender is a front fender from a 83 kawasaki kz550, drag bars, cluster gauges removed and replaced with mini-speedo , axle mount skull tail light and plate holder , mini-turn signals , one of the rear footpegs welded onto the shifter for a fat shifter, and some other little dodads here and there, took it to a local vintage show and nabbed 3rd place, he would have been proud, we put our heart and soul into it as Bill would have, thanks for looking.
Kev

Thanks Jack and Drock, my bro would have appreciated your kind comments.
Drock, front fender is the orig. with it cut short and then cut to follow the curve of the brace, the rear is a front fender from a 82 Kaw KZ550.

dam nice job....one question. I note the engine case cover on the right side hiding Yamaha.....do you find that a pretty tight fit dealing with oil on that side?

Hey Buck ,thanks a lot, its a cover made to go over the yamaha , found it at 650central.com , have to drill and tap 3 holes for the bolts they give you, but 2 problems arise, it dont fit flush , had to put 1/4 inch rubber gasket pad behind it to take up gaps, and secondly the bolts they give me were a tad to long, they seemed like they were going to go into the clutch basket inside maybe, so I took some off the screws, but no oil issues, hope this answers?
