I got my '77 with some of the XS Pereformance shocks (new) on it - the black ones with progressive wound springs that sell for I believe $80 a pair. Without going to something with external reservoirs, is there a shock that performs better than what I have?

Is it just me or does it seem strange that there are so many topics about non standard parts in the "Stock Bike" forum?
