+1 for bluebikerblan suggestion my 83 was having that issue, fill her up and she would die on me 5 miles from the gas station. pull over the to side of the road, give it a few kicks fire right back up ...

yeah now thats its cold out its really wanting to kickback at me, also if its out in the cold windsweeped parking lot for a few hours, the first few kicks are more "slow falls"
