I've been searching through the forum trying to get a good idea of what battery to buy, but I think I ended up just confusing myself (I'm lost when it comes to this stuff). So, I'll just ask....
I've got an '81 with the factory TCI. Kickstart only. Bike will have LED tail and signal lights, halogen up front. And maybe the tiny guage light too. Once I get it running I'll switch to the Pamco.
So, is this battery appropriate? I would mount it on its side under the cowl on my cafe seat. Thanks for the input.

A battery of that type is used by a lot of people. I have one like that I use on my boat to power some of the electronics. Been using it for better than ten years.
It may not last as long on a motorcycle.
Some even run the 4.5 amp/hour version, some even smaller.

I have heard of a lot of people having success with those on choppers as long as the amp/hour meets the need of the motorcycle...
