Here are some tank mounts i made on the cnc lathe for a 78 XS i am currently building. they consist of 4 stainless bushing 4 grommets meant for 1/8" steel 4 crs weld in bungs with sealed ends and 4 button head stainless bolts. You simple hole saw the location of the bungs drop the in as they have a .100" thick larger lip and weld them to the location of you liking. they mount on the bottom side giving the tank a seamless cleaner look. let me know what you guys think.

These are for the front ?
I need somehting for a 82 special that will get the rear tank mount out of that stupid bridge thing and into the down tube. Like it has to be shorter and more forward.
Cool.
Srinath.

they are meant for aftermarket tanks. You drill and weld in the bungs on the bottom side of your tank of choice and make you own mounting brackets. It gives the tank a much cleaner look as you cant see the mounts from eye level. You will have to make the dog bone flat steel piece shown in the picture yourself as every tank is different. Work great for peanut style tanks! Bushings are meant for 1/8" plate steel. with a .75" hole.
