I have my 1978 engine removed from my bike and would like to remove the starter and all gears and shafts that I could possibly remove. What can I remove even if I have to split the cases. Thanks for any help TC

- remove starter
- the gears on the end of it
- open RHS sidecover - remove bendix gears - leave the little gear on the left
- if you open cases you can remove the shaft that crosses the motor and the gears on either end

LHS with starter and gears removed

RHS bendix-remove - leave little gear on left when not opening cases...if splitting cases you can remove these 2 gears and the shaft

Bendix
